Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. I love being able to dress up and watch my kids get dressed up and all happy about getting candy from strangers lol.

The one time it's okay for them to do that. I am a checker though. I go through all their candy to make sure it is safe. The past couple years we have been going to "Truck or Treat."

This year we are in a new area and I am so excited that they have a Halloween event on the main road in town. They have music, candy, food, games, and a haunted house. I don't think I have ever been this excited for my youngest to go out and experience a "real" Halloween night.

I am not sure if he will be brave enough to go through a haunted house, but I really hope so. I think he will be talking about it for weeks after. We always go with friends, but this year, it will just be him and me and a LOT of the town folk. He is really excited about it.

He is going as Unspeakable this year (YouTuber), so I don't have to worry about layering under his costume, which is awesome because it is really cold here already.

I also like to go through his candy after he goes to bed. I like to separate out the ones I like the most and stash a few away for myself. I know I am not the only parent who does that. We do go through it together as well. We get rid of all the candy that NO ONE likes, and then he has his separate piles. I am still shocked at how much candy we end up throwing away, months later.

I know the joys of trick or treating is to get as much candy as possible, but OMG, so much of it doesn't even get eaten.
