Writing is a funny thing....

As I am writing this next book I have been thinking about where and how it should end. I have been thinking of all the characters that are involved and their back story. The more I get into the more excited I become. There are new characters coming in, there are new stories to be told, and the book just keeps going. I thought I was half way done with the 3 series, but I am not. There is just so much to tell in this book and I am really excited about it. I was hoping to finish the book by December, and that is still my goal, but there is just so much to tell. I can't wait to be done with it, but I am having so much fun writing it.

The fun part is getting it all down and finally being able to type "The End". Then I will have to go back and edit it. I know that it will be hard work, because there are things I am going to have to change, add, get rid of.... UGH!! But I am also looking forward to going back and reading it.

When I first started writing, I would write a chapter, go back and edit it a few times until it was perfect, and then write the next, on, and on, and on. It was not a good process. I got some advice from another author who said, Just write until it is done, let it sit for a few days, and then go back and read it. Never edit your work until you type "The End". This was such amazing advice. It made everything so much easier and not stressful.

Like I said before, I am having so much fun with this book. I really hope that it will be ready for everyone in 2020. Good things come to those who wait.
